A Genuinely Good Story
Posted by Greg
I put this story on my own website this morning. I haven’t linked on the manna site to my own site before, but this story is worthy of being read by all the mannites.

My Body For Jesus, Jesus For My Body

Last Week at Manna
Can you still remember it? It’s a simple saying that may well change your life. This past week we looked at 1 Corinthians 6 in reverse order, taking the second half of the chapter first, and looking at part one last. Seems very Mannaesque, don’t you think? Regardless, this week we will be looking at the first part of chapter 6, where we are given instructions on how to live in our litigious society. BUT THERE IS SO MUCH MORE HERE! This Sunday we will take a look at our job description in heaven, why being cheated is not the end of the world, what the Bible teaches about homosexuality, and how to really LOVE each other in the process. Sound interesting? Reread chapter 6, and grab some friends this week, and bring them along, especially ones that don’t have a home church, or ones that are convinced that the roof will collapse as soon as they walk in the door! See you Sunday!
The Train-ee.com Church Website Project
Posted by Mike Boyink
I mentioned this today at the service, but wanted to link to it here as well. The church website I’m building as part of a series of tutorials for other web developers is here: http://church.train-ee.com/. Currently just the home page is up. Once the site is completed, it will be placed on eBay for auction, with proceeds going to a TBD charity. Charity-wise I’m strongly considering one that purchases farm animals for families in need. The idea of high-tech efforts resulting in low-tech blessings appeals to me.
The site is being built on a content management system (the same one that Mannais.org runs on) which means that whatever church ends up owning it should be able to take it over and keep the content current with very little technical know-how required.
If you could please keep the project in your prayers - that it ends up going to a church that will take it over and use it to it’s fullest potential, and that the selling price be high enough to nicely bless a charity.
