manna?

So my boyfriend and I are both Juniors at Hope College...we both graduated from Holland Christian (actually graduated with Chris Gerrin) and we both attended (and were involved heavily in) Ridgepoint CC. 

Here’s the thing...we feel called somewhere else. 
I guess you could say that we are looking for a place to worship God where it’s ABOUT God. and NOT about us.

I decided to check out the website and though I could just quick post on here just to get a quick connection before we checked out Manna tomorrow morning…

We traveled to Israel last summer with Rev. VanderLaan and ever since then we’ve been really interested in this “coffee shop” “house” kind of church...Manna? Seems really different...and we are excited to check it out!  Especially since it is right by campus!

So if anyone has information for us...or someone we could just connect with...that would be sweet!

1. Hi guys. So I’m sitting watching the Tigers on TV and decide to check out Manna’s web site in case there’s something new I should know about, and there you were. O-kay the Tigers just won on a walk-off home run by Brandon Inge. Look for me or my wife (Lois)in the morning and we’ll talk. I’m the one with the guitar leading the singing, she’ll be shaking the eggs.

2. Hey, you guys are picking a GREAT week for a first time visit. After the service we’ll be eating together. Don’t worry about bringing anything—just be sure to join us if you can.

   My family will be there. We’ll stand out a bit because we’re one of the few families with elementary age kids (boy, age 10, girl, age 8).

   Be sure to catch us (we’re usually sitting at a table). My husband, Mike, and I were also “called away” from the church we were attending, yet not “called to” anything in particular at that time.  Now we call manna? home.

3. Sorry I wasn’t able to connect with you this morning. My husband and son stayed home sick, and my daughter and I slipped in a bit late and didn’t stick around for the potluck.

   If you found the morning intriguing (I know I came away from the message with lots to ponder) and decide to return, maybe we can catch you next time.

   I loved the service...I had to slip out as well, because I work at 12 on Sundays...but I really enjoyed the service and I hope to be back on Sunday!

5. Hi Britnee - I’m the “sick” one (just a bad allergy day).

   Glad you were able to make it to the service - sounds like you are feeling a calling similar to many already at manna?.

   Oh - and thanks for using the web site as a pre-visit way of introducing yourself.  You’re helping me show other Christian web developers how the church can use the web in ways other than just talking about their “programs.

7. PS--

   I was really involved with the worship team at Ridge Point...and I was wondering how one would get involved with singing on sundays?

   Obviously, I want to keep going a few more sundays...but just a general information, I love being apart of musical worship...and I wasn’t sure how that worked!

8. Hi Brittnee. Ed Miller here. Find me next Sunday and I’ll give you the “info” on singing/worship aspect of Sunday morning. We’ll be downtown this Friday night at 7:00 PM having a singing/jam session either inside or out on the streets. Stop by if you can and sing. A few of us like to get together and have no restrictions on time and just let go. The number of people varies from 5 to 15. You can e-mail me with question at . Talk to you soon.
