Making Peace with Reality

Is the title of my message this Sunday. We keep on truckin’ through 1 Corinthians 7, and in the verses for this week Paul is talking about the concepts of calling and contentment. Tough medicine to swallow if your life sucks. If you’ve ever struggled to accept God’s calling in your life or to “bloom where you’re planted” when where you’re planted is rocky ground or surrounded with weeds… well, you’re exactly the kind of person Paul is writing to. And as a bonus, if you’re frustrated because you’re single and you don’t want to be (or married and you don’t want to be), well, this passage talks about that to.
Don’t know that I’ve ever mastered what Paul is talking about in my own life, but I’ll do my best to unpack the Word on this Sunday. Y’all come and see us, y’hear?
