Pre-Term Labor: Please Pray

No, I’m not pregnant. But, my sister is. She was admitted to the hospital this morning after a night of increasing-intensity contractions. She’s only 23 weeks. Cathy is scared.

I ask that you join me in praying that Cathy feels God’s peace and love, and that she can literally feel that God is in control of the situation. Of course, I am also praying that God’s will includes that this little baby stays inside to cook a little longer.

1. Hey. Just checking in with you guys to see how your weeekend went. We spent Saturday in South Bend with Madi.( Yeah her parents were there but their not as much fun) How is your sister doing? We’ll keep her in our prayers. Does school start this week offically? I hope your this years students do as well as your class did last year.

2. Update on my sister: Cathy was in the hospital until Sunday evening. She received some pretty strong drugs to decrease/stop the contractions. An ultra-sound showed the baby is fine.

   She has been instructed to stay home from work for the week—not easy to follow when this is only the second week of the school year for her middle school science students. If she has to stay out for too long, she will be put on “disability” and will only receive 67% of her paycheck—not enough for this single mom’s expenses.

   Please continue to pray for Cathy’s peace and for her children to go easy on her.
