Idol Smashing Ceremony Planned
This Sunday, we will be celebrating communion, with a twist. There will be a special “idol smashing ceremony” immediately following the message. Feel free to bring all your idols, household gods, and other “God-Substitues” to the service. Now that I have your attention, “yes,” we will be celebrating communion this Sunday, but the idol smashing ceremony will only be conducted symbolically. Go ahead and read 1 Corinthians 10 and see if that doesn’t help make sense of this somewhat cryptic entry. See you Sunday!
