What is the Point of the Lord’s Supper?

Why do Christians take it? Is there a right and wrong way to do it? Who should and shouldn’t take it?
Pastor Greg here… this week I’ll continue teaching from 1 Corinthians 11 and the topic will be the Lord’s Supper. The Corinthian church was apparently handling the Lord’s Supper badly during its worship meetings and Paul said that it was having serious consequences for their lives and their life together. Are we doing any better today? Come Sunday morning we’ll find out together.
We will take the Lord’s Supper together Sunday morning. We will attempt to do so appropriately (no humor intended).
And no matter how much Eddie teases me I will NOT wear a helmet to teach. I don’t need to because I am a professional. You, however, should not attempt this at home.
