Manna Vintage Faith Weblog http://mannais.org/index.php/ en bjdktv@att.net Copyright 2008 2008-08-18T01:00:00-05:00 Being Intolerant http://www.mannais.org/index.php/index/being_intolerant/ I really enjoyed the message, music and fellowship today.  Of course that’s nothing new.  I always enjoy and am richly blessed by manna?.  Today, Pastor Dave was talking about Grace and drawing the line - making a stand - and being intolerant.  This brought up a question I’ve had before.  Can we be totally intolerant and still show Christ’s enduring love, and unconditional love for His children?  I mean - you know - about really serious stuff.  I don’t want to be tolerant of bad things, sinful things, but I strongly believe that only by seeing Christ in us, and our showing our love and concern for others, that the barriers of darkness can be broken down.  Any thoughts? This last Sunday I told everyone that we might be moving to a new location within the next 1-3 weeks.  Ummmmm, hold on for a minute.  There may or may not be some last minutes developments.

Tell you what: go get a cup of coffee, maybe a muffin (I’m partial to the cranberry-walnut, that’s a mighty fine muffin), talk amongst yourselves.  Plan on coming to our building this Sunday and we may have some some new information.

You will be amazed… And don’t just look at the pictures, read about it. just awesome.... 2008-07-27T03:13:00-05:00 The Children Need You! http://www.mannais.org/index.php/index/the_children_need_you/ Shameless Use of Guilt to Motivate Others Yes, I know.  It’s all about grace.  But, for just a moment, I’m going to fall back on the old tried and true method for filling volunteer spots in church; guilt!  Actually, no guilt is necessary if you paid any attention last Sunday, and realize that someone out there, or several someone’s, has the spiritual gifts needed to fill a newly created volunteer position; NURSERY SCHEDULE COORDINATOR.  That’s right, we are going to have a nursery.  Beginning ASAP, we’d like to begin putting together a schedule of people to supervise the youngin’s in the nursery.  WE’D LIKE EVERYONE IN CHURCH TO HELP STAFF THE NURSERY, NOT JUST PEOPLE WITH KIDS, and all we are asking for is somone to put together a list of volunteers and then take some time to see that whoever signs up actually shows up.  Interested?  If so, please let Diane Guerrin know.  And in case you are debating whether or not to volunteer, just think of all the poor little urchins you are letting down by NOT signing up.  Have a nice day.
